Every decade has its own trends. Although the once popular bell-bottoms and shoulder pads were ridiculed until a while ago, you can now find them almost everywhere.

Flowing manes, flowing fabrics and lots of flowers: the 70s were the decade of the hippies. I love the wonderfully feminine boho style. A key piece of the 70s trend is the flare pant. They were especially popular back then as corduroy pants in warm colors like cognac, mustard yellow or rust red. They were often paired with romantic blouses and tight-fitting turtleneck sweaters. Overalls with wide flare or sequins were the favorite garment for passionate disco goers and also enjoyed great popularity in the 70s.

Among the most important fashion trends of the 80s were the carrot pants. Made of fabric or as jeans in a stonewashed look, they were seen everywhere in the 80s. Women’s outerwear focused on volume. Shoulder pads and puffy sleeves were on almost all blazers, dresses and blouses. Oversize was also heavily in vogue in the 80s. Blazers with way too wide, drop shoulders were considered especially stylish.

In the 90s, it became very body-hugging. Trendy were belly shirts or tight tops with groovy inscriptions. Buffalos> with thick soles were THE shoe in the 90s. Denim was now more than just a fabric for pants. Denim dresses, jackets and coats were also happily combined wildly with each other. Dresses with thin spaghetti straps were hip and worn over shirts. Popular accessories of the 90s were creoles and the practical fanny pack.
